Keto Fat Bombs Are The Bomb!

Updated: Nov 9, 2022

When I first discovered keto fat bombs I couldn’t believe these creamy sweet morsels of happiness were actually a huge part of living a successful keto lifestyle.

If the idea of devouring a chocolaty mocha ball rolled in nuts or biting into a tart lemon mini cheesecake sounds too good to be true you're not alone – but believe me it’s true. They are amazing and fit perfectly into this way of eating.

Keeping these tasty treats on hand will not only crush your cravings for something sweet, they're great when you need to fill that "fat-gap" that can happen as you transition from eating crummy carbohydrates to satisfying fats.

(For a closer look at the ideal ratios of Fats/Carbs/Proteins for optimum health see Manage Macros Not Calories in my blog How To Start a Keto Diet Right.)

So easy to make and so darned good, keep scrolling to see 2 of my favorite fat bomb recipes ever: Chocolate Mocha Fat Bombs and Lemon Cheesecake Fat Bombs.

Each recipe is great on their own but can also be transformed into dozens of different flavor varieties, making fat bombs one of the best kept secrets for making your keto diet fun, healthy, and sustainable.

Chocolate Mocha Fat Bombs

ree

INGREDIENTS:

8 oz cream cheese

1/3 cup grass-fed butter

3 tablespoons sour cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 to 2 tablespoons cold brew coffee, unsweetened

1/2 cup Swerve powdered sweetener

1/4 cup unsweetened organic cocoa powder

Dash of salt

DIRECTIONS:

Place cream cheese and butter in a large mixing bowl. Set aside to soften for one hour.

Once cream cheese and butter are softened add sour cream, vanilla, coffee, a dash of salt, and mix with a spatula until smooth and fully incorporated.

Begin adding each dry ingredient starting with powdered sweetener, then cocoa powder, and mix until completely blended.

Mixture can be placed in any 1-inch shaped silicone mold or place mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to firm batter and roll into individual balls. OPTIONAL: Roll balls in Swerve, cocoa powder, chopped nuts or unsweetened coconut before freezing.

ree

When using a silicone mold, it’s best to cover with parchment paper and freeze for at least six hours to make it easy to remove individual pieces from the mold.

For balls, place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and cover with parchment paper. Freeze for six hours before placing in individual storage containers. Refrigerate in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
